REVERA LEGAL TECH BATTLE was the first-ever Belarusian contest of innovative ideas uniting lawyers and IT specialists to elaborate solutions at the junction of technology and law.
The year 2020 marked the arrival of the covid-19 pandemic, which caused severe economic consequences for the entire world. The REVERA lawyers created a business support headquarters and launched a Telegram channel, where they promptly released expert materials to help businesses adapt to the changing conditions. One of the most significant challenges for the beginning of 2020 for most companies was the transition to a remote format of work. We successfully coped with this task ourselves, and helped our clients do the same.
Political and economic crisis also made this year really complicated for Belarus. To continue their development a lot of Belarusian companies actively began getting into neighbouring markets.
Meeting the demands of our clients in supporting them to enter new markets REVERA established an office in Ukraine specializing in legal support for technology companies.
In 2020 we launched a new direction – LegalTech. Seeing it as an effective tool of adapting business to changing market, we defined our mission as assisting business in automation of legal processes without quality loss. We entered into exclusive contracts with leading vendors of LegalTech-solutions, became ELTA’s ambassadors in Belarus, carried out global research of the Belarusian LegalTech market, launched the LegalTech community in Belarus, organized and held several professional events, and made speeches at the international LegalTech community.
Started in the year 2020, the focus on adaptation to changing social and economic conditions continued in 2021. Due to changes in the Law on Legal Practice, the law bureau “REVERA” was closed. The attorneys, who were previously part of the law bureau, moved to the created Minsk Regional specialized legal counseling “Business. Law. Taxes” and continued cooperation with the legal company REVERA on individual projects. The associates moved to a new legal entity “Revera Legal” LLC.
This year we have continued to expand our expertise and the legal company REVERA established an office in Cyprus. Since then, the place of a “national leader” was taken by an “international legal group” REVERA law group.
